This week: St Clement’s, East Sussex
On one of those blameless summer days when anything seems possible, we take the train south, skirting past the sweep of the Downs, chugging onwards towards the fresh breezes of the coast. En route, a clench of excitement ripples through the towns and villages of Kent and Sussex, as St George flags rampage across cars and buildings, mutely advertising the imminence of another England fixture in the World Cup.

This weekend Hastings has it’s Seafood & Wine festival. Not just any old Food & Wine jolly, but Seafood & Wine, which is soo much cooler and gustatory, eh?
St Clements , Norman Roads Michelin featured restaurant is going to be there, although the very elegant, (see pic) restaurant will be open, as will the rest of Norman Road.
Last year St Clements won the prize for best cooked fish, which is a natch for them as they do it au perfection all year round.
